Keep Antioch Beautiful! is a delightful book that describes the mayor's pledge and efforts to make the city better. Being a mayor requires keeping your promise. The mayor in his daily encounters throughout the city reaches out to various community members to assist with the big cleanup. He encounters challenges along the way because each of the community members are busy doing their part to make the community better and are not available to assist with the big cleanup. Most of them ask to take a "raincheck." The story has a happy ending as the community comes together and participates in the "Keep Antioch Beautiful" day of service.
