Whether it's a job we think we can't leave or a way of doing business that's no longer innovative, all of us can fall into a rut that we like to call "stability." It's completely expected from an evolutionary point of view. We have the drive to find food, shelter, and security, and once we have it, we want to keep it. It's hard for most of us to leave our comfort zones - even if we initiate the change. Changing jobs or careers - either due to layoff or on our own -forces us to be uncomfortable. Yes, it's painful and sometimes unpleasant.
The author chronicles new experiences, observations, and humor about career relaunch, life-threatening illnesses, mean ol' mothers-in-law, and monogamous interviewing in this book.
