This edition was chosen, because it represents the final authori tative revision of the work, and may justly be re garded as the standard text. It not only con tains a few more prayers (e. G. Three for every festival instead of one) than other editions and their reprints; but many of its prayers are fuller and richer, and the entire work is more lucidly and logically arranged in five books instead of four.
