A troubled witch. A wealthy family with secrets. An evil that could destroy them both.
The town of Gideon, Illinois is making a bumpy recovery from the previous winter’s demonic attack. Lauren Reardon, the witch who vanquished that onslaught and saved the town, isn’t doing much better.
When she goes out for a head-clearing walk through the Gideon woods only to find herself in an Oregon forest, she thinks at first that she has been tricked. Demons are wily, after all, and will learn who and what you love and use that knowledge to control you.
But Lauren’s witch sense tells her otherwise. She has stepped through one of the “thin places” that separates the living world from the demonic, and she was drawn there for a reason. She must return to the place she once called home, to the Pacific Northwest, to learn who–or what—has called to her, and why.
Jericho holds a special place in Oregon mountain lore. The abandoned logging camp has long been the subject of urban legends and campfire tales of disappearances, of eerie sights and sounds. But it’s no fairytale ghost that wanders the ruined buildings and wooded trails. It’s an evil with roots in both ancient times and a wealthy man’s bizarre beliefs.
An evil that Lauren will have no choice but to face, even at the risk of her life, and her soul.
