This commentary is a verse-by-verse exposition of the Epistle of James. The epistle was written as an extensive guide on how to live out one's faith so that others are drawn to a saving faith in Jesus Christ. James 1:22 is the key verse to the book and it states, "But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves." The instructions contained in the epistle are just as valid for modern day Christians as it was for those of the first century.
