Some loves are written in the stars. Others are written across a lifetime. Cindy Bennett has always dreamed of becoming a published author. Matt Carter has always dreamed of building a luxury resort in the Caribbean. Growing up together in the small town of Pine Creek, they believed love could survive anything-even the pursuit of impossible dreams. When life takes them in different directions, Cindy heads to New York to chase her writing career while Matt leaves to build his future in St. Thomas. Years pass, hearts heal, and new lives begin. Yet neither can completely forget the person who first believed in them. A chance reunion on a tropical island rekindles memories they thought were long buried. But timing has never been on their side, and both must decide whether to hold on to the lives they've built or take one last chance on the love they never truly left behind. Spanning a decade of hope, sacrifice, heartbreak, and unforgettable moments, It Was Always You is a heartwarming contemporary romance about following your dreams, finding your way home, and discovering that the greatest love stories are the ones that never stop waiting.
