Insiders Guide To Campground Hosting In Florida Parks is for those who would like to spend some time in our great county, state and national parks and are willing to work in exchange for a campsite. We give the newcomer the skinny on how to apply, where to find the best places to volunteer and information on the benefits of helping out our hard-working park staff.
We have over 170 Florida State Parks, lots of Florida County Parks and a few National Parks that will give you a FREE Campsite in exchange for volunteering. We will even explore some opportunities with our Florida Fish and Wildlife, Regional Water Management Districts, State Forests as well as other government agencies that can offer you a campsite with water, electric, possibly sewer on-site and more for a little bit of your time and sweat that will help keep our beautiful resources cleaned, maintained and repaired for all to enjoy.
We have visited and/or worked in quite a few of the Florida State Parks over the last 2 years and have gathered some great information for our fellow RVers. This is a great guide for people wanting to travel, those just getting started as well as those who have been traveling, living and working in their RVs for a while.
Being a volunteer in public parks, whether they are a county, state or national, helps keep them up and running, gives you a sense of accomplishment, and it even can give you a place to stay in a beautiful setting. Of course, you will be meeting and working with some pretty interesting people, learning new skills, and enjoying the great outdoors.
