The poems in this brief collection deal with the ways people relate to each other and to their environments: — the excitement and trauma of growing up — moving to new towns as a child — the effects of divorce on young children — the ways we deal with poverty, homelessness, and crime — views of the sky on clear cold nights — hiking mountain trails in different seasons — concerns about becoming a widow or widower — visions and thoughts while watching the moon — finding traces of long-gone children in an old house — connecting briefly with wild creatures and the landscapes they inhabit — concern for our changing climate
