Sixteen year old Lina has everything money can buy and nothing that feels like home, until she meets Ayokunle, a boy with charcoal-stained hands and a gift for turning nothing into something beautiful. Over one unforgettable summer, their friendship quietly begins to heal a family that forgot how to be one. But the truth about Ayokunle is more fragile than Lina understands, and when it catches up to her, she must decide what's real, what's memory, and what love can carry across the space between them. A tender, quietly devastating story about grief, presence, and the people who change us along the journey.
