A memoir of Hyun Martin's journey from a traumatized child to become a healer and Mompreneur. At the age of three in 1965, her Oma gives her up for adoption to her Aunt. This was her first major trauma of abandonment. Her eye surgery in a USA military hospital by herself was the second. Coming to America at 4 1/2, with her adoptive father on a Pan Am flight not being able to speak Korean was her third trauma, Dealing with an abusive alcoholic white male racist Dad and being molested every night and being raped at the age of nine was 4th, 5th, 6th and 7th traumas. She partially escapes by being reunited with birth parents and being given back to Immigrant parents in 1973. Hyun escapes again moving to Austin and explores religion, race, sexual orientation, AIDS, women's reproductive health, and the sciences while going to University of Texas. Needing even more distance, she moves to Indiana learns business and political activism, graduates with a B.A. in Political Science in 1990. Armed with her political degree, she works at the Four Seasons Hotel and starts her next career as a massage therapist healer to royalty, Fortune 500 CEO's, celebrities and rock stars. She becomes a world renowned healer and teacher in healing modalities in Korea and China. She has taught meditation and transformational workshops worldwide. Being part of the sandwich generation of the late Baby Boomers, her biological parents are in their 90's and 80's and her adoptive parents were in their 80's. 2016 was the year of being stretched. dividing her time care taking of her teenage sons and hubby in Maryland with flying to Texas for adoptive parents and driving to Virginia for her biological parents.
