Slim Reynolds never asked for much out of life. A good horse under him, a wide stretch of prairie, and honest work at the Flying H Ranch were enough. Folks called him Slim because he was tall and lean as a fence rail—but the horses knew him for something else entirely.
They said he could whisper to a horse and have it gentled in minutes.
But there was one thing Slim could never tame—his feelings for Caroline Harlan, the rancher's daughter.
To her, Slim was the quiet ranch hand who had grown up around the barns. A boy she'd known since childhood.
Then trouble rides into the valley.
Horse thieves begin stealing the Flying H's finest stock, and the ranch stands on the brink of ruin.
Now Slim must ride into danger to save the ranch…
and prove he's more than just the skinny cowboy who talks to horses.
