When the moon is up, Owl is wide awake and ready for fun: “Hooray for today! Would you like to play?” But everyone says, “Not now! I’m sleepy!” Owl’s playday gets lonely fast as each friend turns her away—until sunrise, when Owl discovers a friendly surprise. Perfect for little ones learning the art of patience, Hooray for Today! celebrates playtime, sharing, and friendship.
What happens when you’re wide awake and everyone else is fast asleep?
A Gentle Bedtime Story: Join Owl on her nighttime adventure, only to discover that the best time to play is after a good nap!
Nocturnal and Diurnal Animals: A funny, sweet introduction to the different sleep schedules of animal friends like Owl, Elephant, and Zebra.
Learning About Patience: Owl feels lonely when her friends are too sleepy to play, but learns that good things come to those who wait.
Perfect for Reading Aloud: With fun, repetitive phrases kids will love to shout—"Hooray for today!" and "Not now! I’m sleepy!"
