Have you ever experienced a loss so great that you thought you may never recover? My name is Gracie and I lost the battle to cancer prior to guiding my daughter Sophia Rose, to become a young adult. Since my passing, my daughter has been finding love letters that will inspire and teach her about grief, love, life, and learning to live again. At a young age she has had to deal with emotional pain that even adults have a hard time handling. These letters guide Sophia so she can listen with her heart when her ears are dismissing so many voices around her. Sophia wakes up every morning with a broken heart, and it is my mission as her mother to help her grieve in a healthy way and learn to live again with an open heart. I write her these letters and neatly tuck them away so she will receive them when she needs my words the most.At the age of ten Sophia Rose learned that her mother was diagnosed with breast cancer, and five years later she was forced to experience the loss of a parent. The journey of Sophia Rose takes us through the process of grieving, depression, anger, and learning to hope and to dream again. The letters she discovers from her mother allow Sophia to learn life lessons about spirituality, dealing with life lessons, and most importantly to learn how to live after the loss of a loved one.
