The second book from Dr. Maria Uribe, a Senior Instructor at the University of Colorado Denver in the School of Education & Human Development, Is There Something Wrong With Me? provides concrete examples of micro-aggressions and discrimination--rooted in race, ethnicity, and gender--that children face. Designed to elicit empathy and conversation about identity and belonging, the book further suggests at-home and classroom activities to dismantle social bias.
