Hap-pig-ness is about Mia the piglet who desperately wants to look good . The story shows that feeling happy on the inside makes you look beautiful on the outside. It highlights the importance of your smile . Vibrant illustrations by Tanja Dunstan really bring the story to life. Playing with words is part of the fun and in this book the words ‘ happiness ’ and ‘pig’ have been put together to make a playful word ‘hap-pig-ness’ – which means the happiness that a pig feels. Before you know it ‘hap-pig-ness’ could become part of your child’s vocabulary! Hap-pig-ness is one of the ten books in the exciting Farm-tastic series by children’s author Jacqui Shepherd . Each book features an animal on a farm and highlights an important life lesson through the story. The books have beautiful, full-colour illustrations and accessible language for both first- and second-language learners. The word play used in all the books adds an extra element of fun that children are sure to love. The books are perfect for reading to little ones and for older children to read by themselves. Other titles in the series include:
Invisi-bull
Enor-mouse
Hope-frog-ly
Un-hap-puppy
G-lamb-orous
