Sometimes the past doesn't just come back to haunt you. Sometimes it goes for the jugular.
At least that's the way it seemed to Liam Wright. He had jumped at the offer to leave his popular radio show to anchor Channel Three's new World Affairs show. But if he'd done his research on the other staff members at the station, he might not have been so hasty.
Just one week into the new job, his old University lover is murdered, and it all seems to tie together. Especially when the text came telling him he was next.
Deputy Blake Harper should have heeded the sheriff's warning about keeping the private security gig all business. He shouldn't have allowed himself to start having feelings for the man. For one thing, at the start of it all, Liam was pretty much their only suspect. But for another, what if the attraction between the two caused enough of a distraction that they let something, or someone, slip through their defenses?
Would the growing feelings between them turn out to be fatal?
