Based on the photos, newspapers, archives and other materials of that year, reproduces some historical events during the Cultural Revolution: In 1966, Mao Zedong evaded Liu Shaoqi from presiding over the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the China, and issued the "May 16 notice" to launch the Cultural Revolution. Later, Mao wrote the big character poster of "Bombarding the Headquarters". The situation of "Burning provincial and municipal Party Committee", "Revolution is innocent, rebellion is reasonable" and "Party Committees are kicked out to make revolution" has emerged in the whole country. Local governments have been paralyzed, and cadres at all levels almost been overthrown for they are "capitalist roaders in power in the Party". Beijing's "revolutionary actions in Red August" and the slogan of "Long live the Red Terror" were popular. The revolutionary actions inside and outside the campus of Beijing University's Nie Yuanzi the author of "the first Marxism Leninism big character poster", the scene of some "Party and state leaders" being criticized and denounced.
