Nellie Council's Gran' and Drew is a story of memories and lessons told with wit and wisdom. With love as the foundation, Council draws upon her one-on-one experience with her only grandson to chronicle and document the activities she and Drew shared during his formative, preschool years. Woven among her stories are simple illustrations that can be used to teach and prepare grandchildren for the formal school experience and enhance your one-on-one experience with the grands as well. And her first and foremost advice to grandparents-particularly those who view grandparenting as a challenge-is merely to enjoy the time. All too often, the lessons will be reciprocal. "He will enjoy-and you will learn," she says.
