Dora Fisher, a prolific poet and former employee of Arkansas, has completed her new book, “Gracious Poems and Short Stories.” This compelling and moving collection features poems and short stories that reflect the people, places, joy, and fun she has experienced while learning from the remarkable individuals she has met throughout the years. The book shares her most gripping experiences growing up in Little Rock, Arkansas, as well as her love for traveling and exploring the beautiful sights in Arkansas and across the USA. Through her writing, she aims to share these experiences with others, celebrating the beauty of Arkansas and the adventures that have shaped her life. She recognizes that none of this would have been possible without the grace of God. “Gracious Poems and Short Stories” is a touching collection that will resonate with readers. Some poems may lift your spirit, while others could evoke feelings of sadness, anger, happiness, or curiosity. You may find yourself laughing at the humorous stories woven throughout the book. Dora cherished her conversations with people from all walks of life, listening to their tales from the past and their current experiences. This collection includes inspiring poems and stories addressing topics such as the attack on the White House, the experiences of veterans, and the challenges of Alzheimer’s patients. Each piece is designed to warm your heart and fill you with excitement, encouragement, joy, compassion, love, and a deep appreciation for life.
