Georgina Gems returns in this hauntingly atmospheric sequel, Georgina Gems and the Wishing Well . Now in her third year as a rising criminologist based in Canberra, Georgina is tasked with a curious new assignment one that lies far outside her usual purview of data and forensic research. She is sent to the rural town of Windmere in New South Wales, a place whispered about for its mysterious Wishing Well, where locals claim their deepest desires come true… though some never return.
Accompanied as always by Hototo her unseen but deeply perceptive guide—Georgina quickly finds that Windmere is a town suspended in time. A burned-down house, a girl named Skye who remembers a past she never lived, and a mysterious man in a black coat who may or may not be real all pull Georgina deeper into an unfolding mystery. New allies arrive in the form of Bill, a driven young intern, and Jasmin, a sharp-minded analyst from Brisbane, but even with their help, the pieces don't fit easily.
Dr. Sharma, Georgina's mentor, has quietly handed her a puzzle rooted in human psychology and the ancient land itself. As Georgina digs deeper into property records, missing persons, and old town secrets, she must balance her scientific training with the unexplainable sensations and visions stirred by the Well's presence. Is it all a complex pharmaceutical experiment? Or something older and far more sacred?
