This story takes place during pre-patriarchal times, approximately 4000 BCE. I have done a little research, but being set in pre-historic time, most of the tale comes from my imagination. I have also been inspired from reading about archaeological finds, by scholars like Marija Gimbutas and from my teacher at the Glastonbury Goddess Temple, Kathy Jones, founder and inspirator of the Avalon tradition - as well as my own magical explorations. In the end, what is inspiration and fantasy if not a journey into unchartered territory? That is the kind of journey the four sisters set out on from their different parts of the world. In today's geography these countries are known as Egypt, India, Ireland and Sweden. The sisters' goal is the mythical counterpart of Glastonbury in Somerset, UK, a place that even today attracts a vast number of pilgrims on their sacred sojourns.
