The immortals came to Earth seeking a new home, just as the last of the Ice Age was ending. But when they arrived, they discovered a world of danger and a desperate need for new raw materials to keep their arkship running. They buried the arkship beneath the southern pole landmass and ventured out to explore their new home. Little did they know they would soon find humanity, and a strong society led by women where men were only valued for hunting and making babies.
One of these immortals, Wendell, was chosen by the village leader Ara to father her children. Wendell found himself in a world where he was revered as a god, yet he could not escape the knowledge that his people needed new blood. As their union produced twins, a sign of great favor among the gods, Ara became more and more ambitious. But soon the immortals had to retreat from humanity and seek solitude.
