Jake has recently moved back home and joined the fire department. He's leaving his past behind after making some rough choices and losing a fellow firefighter in his old town. Now he's struggling to find his dad's acceptance, he is trying to prove to him that he's a changed man. He finds solace in his fire chief, Brian and his son, Mason. Now Mason's setting him up with his sister Dana for the annual fire banquet. What he assumes is just a one night thing turns into more when he develops feelings for her. Dana has vowed to never date a firefighter again after her bad breakup with Thomas, but she can't help herself from falling for the new member, Jake.
