Finding the Furies: - One Lesbian Mother’s Story of Healing in Art and Words, chronicles the time in 1978 when my 6-year-old son was taken from me by his father because I was a lesbian. The legal system in Oregon considered lesbians to be deviant and unfit for parenting. I embedded my narrative within the historical context of that time, supported by documentation, and illustrated with my artwork.
