According to the Scripture, Job is described as a devout man that lived and grew up in the land of Uz, despite the high rate of carnality in his days (Job.1:1). He was prosperous man having seven thousand sheep, three thousand camels, five hundred yoke of oxen, five hundred female donkeys, and a very large household. This testimony of Job is an indication that someone can still be great without engaging in dubious exploits that has become common trends in these days where people delight in cutting corners in their vaulting ambition to amass quick wealth. Then ferocious trials befell him to the extent of losing everything. Worse-still, his health was adversely affected. Despite his wife urging him to curse God, he remained faithful and never blamed God for his predicament. showcasing his integrity and deep faith through his trials, which are considered a test from Satan himself. After having gone through traumatic experiences, and having passed the test of faith, God restored his fortunes, gave him new children, and ultimately vindicated Job’s righteousness. The book, EXPOSITORY STUDY ON LIFE AND MINISTRY OF JOB, is replete with valuable wisdom of life. It teaches the need for perseverance, and that none is immune to Satan’s temptation (Both rich and the poor) and the need to hold firmly unto God all through the journey of life. Job was despised by his wife (Job.19:17), and despised by his friends (Job.19:19).
