Step into a world where fairies dwell, where time and space are mere suggestions, and where eating the local fare could land you on a missing persons list.
Celtic myths and legends describe a world living alongside our own that can only be reached at certain places and times. Steven J. Rolfes dives deep into these legends to analyze the reality of this Otherworld and introduces us to its strange and unusual denizens ranging from bright and shining fairy maidens to fire-breathing dragons.
Exploring excerpts from the Mabinogion as well as other Celtic sources, Rolfes maps an alternate reality connected by ley lines (fairy paths), fairy mounds, standing stones, and holy wells that stretches across our entire planet. Just like Alice, you’ll venture down the rabbit hole to discover amazing folklore, modern encounters with the Otherworld, and much more.
