Mateo lives his life through a screen. In a world where every failure is a punchline and every heartbreak is a meme, he has become a master of hiding in plain sight. When his prestigious job at a Madrid art gallery vanishes, he doesn't tell his parents. He doesn't cry. He simply posts a picture of a dog in a burning room and tells the world: "This is fine."
But life isn't a joke, and reality is starting to leak through the pixels.
Everything Is Okay is a cinematic and deeply emotional journey of a young man caught between the bright, addictive hum of the internet and the heavy, honest weight of being human. When a gallery scandal turns him into a viral villain, Mateo is forced to flee the city. From the narrow streets of Madrid to the silent mountains of Spain and the vibrant villages of Mexico, he must face the people he has lied to and the self he has forgotten.
As the memes stop being funny and the irony begins to fail, Mateo realizes that silence is the loudest language of all. This is a story for anyone who has ever felt lost in the scroll. It is a heartfelt exploration of love, loss, and the courage it takes to finally unplug and breathe.
Beautifully told and globally relatable, Everything Is Okay is a reminder that the truth is rarely beautiful, but it is the only thing that can truly set us free. Behind every reaction image is a real person waiting to be seen.
