Beresin’s crowded and distorted paintings are filled with equal parts beauty and dread Hungarian artist Eva Beresin (born 1955) paints the carnivalesque with a genuine sympathy for the soul. Her compositions hold a shared humanity both in grotesque unease and playful boldness. Thick Air offers several perspectives on her work through essays and an interview with the artist.
