Excerpt from In Equity, Charleston District: William Ravenel, and Others, Executors of Thomas Bennett Lucas, Vs; Mrs. Mary Catharine Lucas, and Others; Bill for Account and Settlement of Estate, Before Mr. Tupper, Master Pursuant to the order of the 8th February, 1861, notice was given, for four weeks, in the daily morning papers ofthe: cit.y, to the creditors of the late Thomas Bennett Lucas, to come. In and prove their demands before the 1st day of April, 1861, or failing to do so that they would be excluded from the benefit Of the decree to be made in this cause. Under this order a large number of claims has been pre sented. Many of these claims were not disputed, and hav ing been proved in the usual way are allowed. Upon others, questions are raised which require the adjudication of the Court before a final settlement of the estate can be effected.
