Enriched in Everything is a book full of treasures on biblical lessons on giving. The author paints a beautiful picture of giving in its simplicity as fully releasing something from your hand and placing it in another's hand. She describes it as "openhanded giving" and shares that all giving should be motivated by love and have purpose and intention. The premise is set with the greatest act of giving which was done through love by God when he gave his only begotten Son to provide everlasting life to those who believe. The book explains the establishment of the offering in the Old Testament and how it set the pattern of giving with obedience, looking to God as the source of all provision. Important topics are addressed such as the principle of first fruits and the tithe, with consideration of how they apply to us now. The reader will be challenged with important questions such as "What is true prosperity? What do we give and how? Who are the poor? Was Jesus poor?" The topics are explored with keen spiritual perspective and biblical understanding. The discussion of the Aramaic, Hebrew and Greek background of words used in scriptures is presented in a way that is simple to grasp and understand. Thought-provoking questions are posed at the end of each chapter for individual or small-group study. This book expounds on how to live a simple life that is bountiful in blessings as we learn to give freely, cheerfully and proportionately. The fruit that abounds from living in a manner that is rich in giving is enrichment in everything which causes great thanksgiving to God!
