“All things being equal”. This is a term motivational speakers and social scientists often use to indemnify themselves from the likely failures that could result when the applications of their postulations and counsels don’t come out the way they prescribed. And the sour truth is, that “all things are never equal!” You could indulge yourself in several theories of success to encourage you about the positives in life. But the sad reality however, is that this World is full of troubles. Real troubles. We don’t like them. We certainly do not hope for them. But that’s just the way we find it. This book seeks to dissect the purpose of sufferings - if any. Using some examples available to us in the scriptures, it details the experiences of some select individuals - their trials and afflictions, whilst also appraising their emotional states of mind. This is done with the hope that all who read this book would find solace in the fact that they are not alone in their struggles. And that the steep paths they’re currently journeying through, have once been walked - and survived by some who have gone before us. It is said, that there is always ‘light at the end of a dark tunnel’. Well, that ‘light’ won’t be of much good if we can’t make it through that creepy pathway! I trust the HolySpirit to open the eyes of your understanding as you read this book. And that He gives you the necessary encouragement to navigate through the unbearable weights that life has laid on you - whilst showing you the glorious end that God has in store for you. Lo, it is written: “For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.” (2 Corinthians 4:17-18) Note: The dawn is scheduled..
