Oral tradition is alive and well in many families, with members of one generation regaling another with stories (embellishments always denied!) of times gone by. The stories are lovingly told and woven together in a single narrative by the family of Elizabeth Fitzgerald and Dr. A.B. Fitzgerald, who practiced as a country doctor in North Creek, NY during the 1920's, 30's and early 40's. Elizabeth and her Doctor would have loved this book! They were proud of what they accomplished together in their loving marriage, and they were proud of each of their children. Alex Haley once wrote that "In every conceivable manner, the family is link to our past, bridge to our future." Elizabeth and the Doctor would agree, and they would be pleased to see how well their family is maintaining these connections.
