Elinka's World explores the experiences of childhood and how a small child interprets them. The narrators observes her parents, her grandmas, and her playmates, as well as ants and frogs, a funeral, and other events. Readers may recall some of their own experiences in similar situations as they, too, began to wonder what ant families do at night or how Grandma used her ear to play the piano.
