Jonathan loved David, who had been anointed by the Prophet Samuel to be the next King of the Israelites. Jonathan also loved his father, Saul, who previously had been anointed by the Prophet Samuel; but now King Saul was managing symbolically the old religious order. Jonathan chose to live in King Saul's palace instead of Adullam's Cave for a season with David and his mighty men. With Jonathan's story comes the harsh warning to the Believers of today. There is a sobering question that you need to answer for your spiritual betterment and enlightenment.
