Stained glass boxes are the natural next step for crafters who have mastered traditional two-dimensional copper foil panels and wish to venture into the third dimension. One of the most popular of glassworking projects and one well suited to glasses, glass boxes offer a happy combination of challenge, beauty, and utility.
Easy-to-Make Stained Glass Boxes contains durable full-size templates for constructing different boxes featuring designs with floral, butterfly, heart, geometric, abstract, Art Nouveau, Art Deco, Pennsylvania Dutch, Islamic, and contemporary motifs.
Clear, complete instructions cover tools, materials, and techniques with step-by-step directions detailing each phase of preparation, construction, and finishing. Noted stained glass artist Ed Sibbett includes boxes in many shapes (squares, rectangles, hexagons, octagons) with a variety of box tops (raised, domed, flat).
