Randall Arthur has a PhD in history and teaches at a college in New York State. He is a former undercover DEA agent and present part-time private investigator. And he has secrets—dark ones. The case he is about to take on will take him to the streets of his hometown of Falcon City, NY, and to Australia. It will cause him to relive events he does not want to relive. It will give him the chance to rectify the failure of his last mission with the DEA, where the man they were after escaped and left several of Randall's colleagues dead. That man is now apparently selling a new type of heroin called Burmese Blue, which has reached the streets of Falcon City and has killed a young user. And it will cause him to look insanity right in the face.
