"Dogwood flowers is a collection of poetry, fables and musings written by its author over the course of ten years. These works primarily flow in chronological order, following the path of a woman's heart from its first love and loss, through despair and into healing, finally seeing the world in a new light. The author challenges the views of Western society, urging her readers to look beyond it, within themselves, and to find a connection with the natural world that will inspire them to strive for something more. She pulls at the heartstrings, sometimes revealing truths that most folk would prefer to avoid, but presents them with a grace and insight that allows the darkness to be seen and recognized, but not overpowering. This collection will move you to tears, bring you to joy, and stir the fire deep within your soul. "
