With the aid of Mickey and friends, this latest addition to the Disney Go Green series, not only helps children learn about sustainability, but shows them what they can do to help save the planet. Disney Green Planet is filled with activities, crafts, and other projects that teach kids the benefits of recycling and upcycling in a fun and fascinating way. Projects include using worn-out blue jeans to create pillows and purses; turning empty cereal boxes into desk accessories; making homemade playdough from water and flour; and creating secret hideaway boxes from old books. There are chapters on developing eco-friendly kitchen and bath routines; upcycling used furniture and empty cartons; throwing a sustainable party; and acquiring a do-it-yourself frame of mind. Chocked full of wonderful ideas and advice, Disney Green Planet is the perfect guide for children and their parents who want to adopt a happier, greener lifestyle.
