Professional pickleball champion Caden Sutton couldn't wait to put the town of Dildo in his rearview mirror. Now he's back to help his grandmother—and quietly work with North Shore Development on a project that could transform the struggling town into Canada's next pickleball destination. There's just one problem.
Millie Keddy.
The fiercely independent baker has spent years keeping her grandmother's café alive, and she's convinced North Shore's plans will destroy the heart of the town she loves. The last thing she needs is the charming, infuriating athlete staying in her spare room after a termite infestation.
Small-town hospitality has its downsides.
Shared breakfasts turn into lingering glances. Pickleball lessons become stolen kisses. And after secretly fixing everything from her broken doorknob to her emotionally distraught coffee maker, Caden has Millie believing she doesn't have to carry the weight of the world alone.
But Caden isn't telling her the whole truth.
He's not just in Dildo to visit family. He's helping shape the town's future—including whether Millie's beloved café has one.
If Millie discovers the truth and sees him as the enemy, will Caden lose the one woman who's finally made Dildo feel like home?
