But when tasked to recover stolen religious artifacts, he must seek expert help, which lands him at the church door of Reverend Victoria Fox. She's an intelligent, charismatic, feisty mother, lover of fig newtons and red wine, who is as gregarious as he is introverted. Quickly they find themselves enlisted by the Ottawa Police to help with a case of bizarre robbery, murder, shootouts and bar fights. While learning how to navigate each other, as they awkwardly find themselves in a race with organized criminals, biker gangs, UK gangsters and mean old ladies to recover seemingly meaningless artifacts before they are illegally sold into private collections.
