Marcella Stedwin stands at a fence reflecting on the last few years of her life. Her history has been halved: life before the contract, and life after. The contract came by a most inexplicable and extraordinary chain of events.
After stepping away from her previous job, she decided to throw caution to the wind and go to work for a cruise ship line. During this journey, she met some interesting people who challenged her entire perception of reality and caused her to question what she previously took for granted.
One of these new acquaintances offers Marcy an opportunity to step into a chamber that will show her the true scale of her existence. If she accepts the offer, she may engage in a top-secret project that allows her to witness things humankind has never seen before. But once she's in, there's no turning back.
