In Sisters, Oregon, Edgar hides at Shuang Tu's private estate while lawyers, celebrity contacts, and old reality television connections work in his favor. With Sheriff Dieter Vogel frustrated by Edgar's privilege and Pamela Smith arriving to fly Edgar back to San Francisco, the situation begins to shift from mystery to consequence. As the train finally continues toward Seattle, Davan resumes his duties and watches the passengers of Car 12 try to move on from the strange incident that changed their journey. A dramatic conclusion to the first major arc of Davan Caplan: The Strange Incident of Edgar Cotton , The Truth brings emotional fallout, exposed secrets, celebrity privilege, and one final choice that changes Edgar and Lynda's relationship for good.
