The issue of cultural translation has always been a cutting-edge topic of academic research in the field of translation theory, both domestically and internationally. It is widely believed that translation is not only a language activity, but more importantly, it is a cross-cultural activity. In fact, the difference between two cultures is a major challenge that translators encounter during the translation process. Therefore, Culture and Translation (Revised) aims to elaborate and explore the principles and methods of cultural translation from the perspective of language and culture, so that it would promote the development and innovation of translation theory and facilitate the construction of the translation discipline; meanwhile, this book contributes to cultivating translators’ cross-cultural awareness and establishing a cross-cultural translation perspective.
