A new forensic tool, a Crystal Gaze that utilizes crystals read by EMF holography that accurately recreates crime scenes by amplifying emotions trapped in ether, and a team led by Professor Toni Simon navigate between approval and threats in their efforts to solve crimes. Set in a twenty-four-hour period, ‘Crystal Gaze-Key West’ follows the co-inventor of the Crystal Gaze forensic tool from her university base in Central Florida to a crime site in Key West. An eclectic young professor, she faces opposition from skeptics in the U.S. government as well as government employees who have personal interests in the failure of the Crystal Gaze in securing funding for the new forensic unit. She comes to realize that she is under assessment by a government psychiatrist as she meets the Key West serial murderer. The opponents to the new forensic tool use means ranging from inuendo to direct physical assault to delay or stop the implementation of the Crystal Gaze.
