If you enjoy a challenge, if you like being humbled, if getting outdone regularly by a bird that has a brain the size of a marble appeals to you, then turkey hunting might just be for you! Seriously, I have been so blessed by God to live in an area with a good turkey population and the opportunity to pursue them! I often refer to the wild turkey as the monarch of the woods. If you have had the opportunity to watch him do his thing in the woods you know what I mean. I've heard the claim that a turkey can see you blink your eye from twenty yards away. I swear I've had them do it. Believe me when I say they are a formidable adversary! Inside are several of my favorite turkey stories. I hope you enjoy them. There had not been any cancer in my family prior to mine. That just lets us know that tomorrow isn't guaranteed. There is a statistic out that says one out of one people dies.
