This work originally published in 2006 has been thoroughly revised to 2025 by dealing with the major political events in Haiti and the impact of the illicit trades of Haiti on these events from 2004 to 2025. From the overthrow of the government of President Jean-Bertrand Aristide in 2004 by the drug militia of the Colombian Dons; created, trained and outfitted in the Dominican Republic with impunity. To the devastating earthquake of 2010 which finished dismantling a state noted for arrersted development, to the 2021 murder of President Jovenel Moise by the Colombian Dons and the rise of a new Haiti thereafter of gangalnd in Port au Prince and the Artibonite region driven by two irreconcilable transnational organised crime models in Haiti, Pax Mexicana and the Colombian Dons. This work also includes part two of a Trinidad and Tobago Dossier on the illicit trades in T&T and their impact on the social order of T&T through the years, with emphasis on analysis of the dual model of transnational organised crime which exists in Trinidad and Tobago in the 21st century.
