Coles Child of Lamposaari: The Inspiring Story of Hilkka Nygard at Village Green Shopping Centre in Vernon, BC
*Product information may vary - to confirm product availability, pricing, shipping and return information please contact Coles
Hilkka Nygard was born and raised on the forested island of Lamposaari in Finland before immigrating to Canada. Her story is a stirring and inspiring tribute to those thousands of Canadian immigrant mothers whose courage and strength enabled their children to grow, create, achieve and prosper. Most people are familiar with Hilkka as the matriarch of the internationally famous fashion empire founded by her son, Peter Nygard. Peter's trust in his mother's uncanny ability to ''read'' people, and her fundamental understanding of the way in which business works, made Hilkka his most trusted confidant.
