In the final days of World War II, they stood on opposite sides-bound by duty, divided by hate, and forever changed by the horrors they endured.
Decades later, two elderly men-one American and one Japanese-still carry the invisible wounds of war.
Haunted by memories of loss, guilt, and the suffering they witnessed and caused, they live with a silence that has lasted a lifetime.
Brought together through their families, they begin as strangers who cannot forget the past. But in a shared love of art, they discover a language beyond words.
Through their art forms, they find the courage to face their memories, honor their fallen comrades, and see the humanity in the man they once called enemy.
As cherry blossoms bloom and oak leaves endure, a friendship takes root-one that neither war nor time could have imagined. Together, they learn that healing is possible, that forgiveness is a choice, and that even the deepest wounds can give way to peace.
