A glamorous hotel. A secret mission. A trail of bodies. And a woman with nothing left to lose... except her room key. When recently widowed Charity Flanigan is kicked to the curb by her wicked stepdaughters, she checks into a budget hotel with her two pampered pooches and zero plans for the future. Enter Moira Pennanen: old friend, hotel magnate, and fairy godmother with a job offer too good to refuse. Charity's new gig? Mystery shopping the world's most luxurious hotels-starting with the flagship Giltmore. Her cover? Posing as a wealthy guest... with Moira's sweet but clueless nephew in tow. Charity's ready to relax-until a billionaire dies mysteriously, a priceless painting goes missing, a hotel detective is murdered, and one of the guests turns out to be a charming psychopath. With NYPD breathing down her neck, a comatose witness, and a cat leaving bloody paw prints through the lobby, Charity must rely on her instincts, her dogs, and her unexpected knack for sleuthing to uncover the truth. Glitzy, witty, and delightfully twisty, Charity Checks In is a sparkling new entry in the cozy mystery world-where the room service is killer and the guests have secrets to die for.
