Having grown up in a sheltered environment in Switzerland and trained as a teacher with "head, heart, and hands," Ruth Wyss sees her dream job turn into a nightmare under an arbitrary and authoritarian mentor. When she wants to give up to study music, theology, and literature, her pragmatic father encourages her to look for a job, telling her that she will find joy in working independently. A self-confident, energetic woman develops, turning her musical talent into a career. She co-founds a music school, becomes an ensemble director, raises two children, and travels the world with her husband on business. She navigates the pitfalls of life with deep faith, helpfulness, and empathy. "The wind bends the grass, but it does not break it" is particularly true of this strong woman.
